The
Inevitable
As the light
slowly faded the eyes of James Breeze did not close, they stayed open. Awake
and in solitude, another win. Wow! how surprising. Wait, it wasn't. But he had
an opponent again. His mind was concentrated on that one match, for about a
minute. Nothing was more important, nothing was less important, it didn’t
make sense. The way he liked it. There was never a better time for James
Breeze than a mixed up one. He was enrolled completely into the state of mind
which made no sense because there was none. This gave him an advantage. He
knew it and he used it well, it was that simple. Most couldn’t figure this
out, this was one aspect James Breeze happened to use at this time in his
life, another stage, which would inevitably come would portray another state
of mind, another preference of mental state. This confused his opponents, it
was hard enough to understand one side of James Breeze and if they happened to
beat the odds and statistics and do it then they were lucky and he could
change his attitude and his view on things. He feared nothing but defeat. To
lose now was almost impossible, he had fought against many people and many
people he defeated. No-one had ever beat him successfully without cheating,
except one person. He haunted him, even when they were like brothers his
success plagued him like a disease, made him full of envy, rage and hate. Now
it was even worse, there was nothing to bid them, except his sister and her
offspring soon to be delivered into the world. But that wasn’t much, not
compared to the ties they held before that. Now he had to fight him, he tried
to block out emotion, to become the best he had to beat the best and although
sometimes he didn’t want to admit it, he had to, Fudge was the best. Nothing
could stop him, now it was Breeze’s turn. Fudge had trained him from
greatness to being a god. Now it was time for him to repay Fudge and the only
way was to beat him, to make him proud. Then Breeze thought again, Fudge had
never helped him, he had helped himself. Fudge owed him, then thousands of
memories came back of Fudge mingled with pain and grief and the same old hate.
Breeze shrieked out in confusion, the drug wasn’t working. He closed his
eyes and tried to sleep, soon he would beat Kevin Conner and soon he would
beat Fudge it was inevitable. Things usually were in his case
