The Celtic Storm

Why? What was so special about him? He wasn’t even an exceptional muscular man. He was handsome and young looking but his personality was arrogant and cocky. Breeze truly did hate him, almost half as much as he hated Fudge, The self proclaimed Suicidal Chyld. Corey the self-proclaimed Young Angel must have thought he had a chance with Hayley to ask her out to dinner. Or did she ask him? The White Tiger did not know. He suspected something, he saw a glimpse in Hayley’s eyes as she talked of the Young Angel. Maybe she was intrigued by the younger looking wrestler. He did not know much but he thought something horrible. Breeze’s life was a game to Corey. He had never truly forgiving him for taunting his mother’s death. Even from beyond two decades ago. Corey was a bastard and an orphan yet he could get any woman he wanted. Quite literally and Hayley looked to be his next target. What could he possibly do to stop this from happening? He could not beat up Corey physically because it would jeopardize all his plans and hard work. And the shit he had to take from Corey up to now would not be in vain. Hayley was not responding to him. She would not answer his requests and she seemed intent on hurting him. And she succeeded most of the time.

Kristen: James

He had to do something; something must be done

Kristin: James!

James: Huh?

Breeze moved swiftly back into realism, the issue at hand had been on his mind for so long now that he thought about it constantly. Even in the middle of a HWA Interview with Kristin Thomas

He remembered what had happened the last time he saw her. He had confessed having problems with Hayley before running off to chase her. It was rude of him

Breeze: Oh sorry, I was distracted

Kristin: I saw

Breeze rubbed his eyes

Kristin: Hayley again?

Breeze nodded

Kristin: Wha…

Breeze: Please, I don’t want to talk about it

Kristin: Okay

Breeze: I’m sorry for running off on you last week, it was becau...

Kristin: I understand

Breeze: Thanks

Kristin smiled

Breeze: So…

The air was a battlefield of awkwardness

Kristen broke the silence

Kristin: Shall we begin the interview?

Breeze: Sure

Kristin held up her hand and the light switched on from nothingness to a red. A red as bright and as deep as the devil’s eyes. The world was watching, and most of them were devils in their own sick selfish way. Ironic, don’t you think?

The interview officially started with the first question

Kristin: So, this week two matches. Two hard matches. The first against an upcoming star, the second against a team consisting of Kevin Conner and Chase Dominek, not a set of easy opponents.

James Breeze: No they aren’t. Yet I am a superstar of high caliber and I haven’t been beaten for as long as I can remember. I have beaten Conner before, easily and my partner is Tristan Wolfe. A man with a tag title under his belt. He can work as a team with his brethren. And he will. I have no doubt he will come through for the team. He is a worthy tag partner even for myself. A former double Intercontinental Champion, TV Champion, Triple Tag Champion, Current X-Treme Champion and number 1 contender for the World Title. I am someone not to be taken lightly. Which brings me on to Caleb Ramirez. He seems decent enough for a young upcoming wrestler. I’ve heard he’s been researching me. Ramirez, research until your eyes fall out and your heart fails to pump your think blood around your inferior body. It will not help. You think studying someone’s techniques affects the match in any way? It doesn’t, I’ll tell you that for free. If you think otherwise then you have more to learn than I thought. I hope your training hard for the match, I like the idea of you wasting your energy doing things that will not change the outcome of the match or the dominance I portray within it. It will be a nice warm-up for the tag match later on. Where the Celts take out Kevin Conner and Chase Dominek. Both hardened veterans always hovering on the outskirts of being great but never quite reaching it. Unlike their British opponents myself and Tristan Wolfe

Kristin: Some people have said that you’re now a face, for the first time in your career, is that true?

Breeze: I’m not a heel or a face. I’m neutral in my own mind. If the fans want to cheer let them if they boo then okay. I’m not too concerned about it to be honest

Kristin: You’re the new X-Treme Champion, this is the first time you’ve held the belt. Do you think you’re ready to defend it every week plus other matches?

Breeze: I certainly hope so, I don’t want to lose this belt and although two matches a week will be tough I will get use to it. I’m sure it will build my stamina and strength so overall its not such a bad thing.

Kristin: Would it be fair to say you’ll be the favourite statistically to win both matches?

Breeze: Yeah, it would I suppose. I don’t trust statistics when it comes to matches, the outcome can sometimes shock you. I see what you’re implying though I probably will win both matches. Having Tristan Wolfe on my side will help a lot

Kristin: You’ve referred to Tristan more than once in this interview, are you two friends now?

Breeze: No, I wouldn’t say that exactly. We’re mutual allies with respect for each other. The usual adversary turned ally setup. He’s got skill and luck and his wins are impressive. His charm and attitude is rare. I don’t dislike the man, he is good to have on your side and vice versa.

Kristin: Okay, thanks a lot James Breeze. It was a pleasure as always

Breeze nodded

The camera stopped…

FADE OUT

His fingers twiddled nervously. His eyes stayed alert as he searched the darkness beyond the gates of the mansion. Waiting for the white limousine to return. Corey had actually booked a black limousine the moron. And both parties had got dressed up to go out. It was only dinner for Christ’s sake. What was the fuss about?

He waited even longer finally drowsing in his chair upon the balcony. The gates ringed as they opened. Breeze’s eyes snapped open.

The black limousine pulled into the mansion. The doors opened and Corey Farmer stepped out first

He was dressed in a black T-Shirt and black pants, they looked expensive

Hayley came out next, Corey supported her. Breeze cringed

She was stunning looking even with her stomach expanded from maternity. Breeze could only envy Corey. Something he hated to do but could not control

The limousine drove off leaving just Corey and Hayley standing in the moonlight

It was a glorious night to be outside. The moon glowed full bathing all in her light. The temperature was just right. Breeze sighed yet his eyes stayed alert

*In Garden*

An awkward silence arose in the air, which was fragranced by the surrounding flowers

Corey: You like flowers?

Corey picks a flower and hands it to Hayley.

Corey: A precious gift for the most beautiful flowers of them all.

Hayley giggles and turns her face away

Corey takes Hayley's hand.

Corey: Let's walk a bit.

They start walking slowly.

Corey: You enjoyed the dinner?

Hayley: Of course, it was delicious

Corey: I'm glad you liked it. For once, I enjoyed a dinner too. Well... it's been a long while since I enjoyed one.

Hayley: Corey?

Corey: Yes?

Hayley: Why did you ask me out to dinner tonight?

Corey thought for a moment. He then looked at Hayley in the eyes.

Corey: I don't know, really. Maybe I wanted to spend a nice moment. Someone to talk to.

Hayley: James thinks its because you want more from me, he says you manipulate women

Hayley pauses

Hayley: Use them

Corey laughs a little.

Corey: James is not very objective when he talks about me. So don't believe anything he says about me. I don't use people. I respect you, Hayley. And I'll never manipulate you for any reason. If you don't trust my word then... I won't talk to you more than I should. All right?

Hayley stumbles a little

Corey catches her

He looks up towards the mansion, straight at Breeze

Breeze cannot hear them but can see them clearly enough

Hayley: It seems I've...

Hayley's voice drones into silence as Corey looks at her straight in the eyes

Hayley: It seems I've had too much to drin...

Again it drifts into silence

Corey thinks a moment. He pulls Hayley's face closer to his and touches her lips with his finger. Then he approaches his lips to hers and gives her a frenchkiss. A long and almost passionate one. But Hayley has her eyes closed whereas Corey's are opened and looking straight at Breeze.

Breeze stared in disbelief, paralytic and unable to move. Complete shock and devastation taking over him

*In Garden*

Hayley pulls away

Corey: What?

Hayley: I’m… I’m sorry I can’t

Corey sighs

Hayley runs away from his arms

Breeze looks down at Corey as he walks back into the mansion, a huge grin splits his face. Farmer glances only once at Breeze, his eyes cold and dead but his face lit up with delight

Breeze smashes his fist against the wall, the blood seeping into the towel he wraps around it. Deeper and deeper as treachery did, as treachery was doing at the moment...
