Sett's Doom

HWA current Arena
Friday 2.40pm 30th May

Breeze has recovered from his bout of guilt over the HWA president and looks fully focused now, ready for his interview with Kristin Thomas, scheduled for 2,45pm, 15 minutes after Jareth’s promo. This was scheduled this way. Breeze waits patiently for Kristin. 2 minutes later there is the familiar two hard knocks.

Breeze: Kristin?

Kristin: Yes, it’s me James

Breeze: Come in

Kristin and the cameraman Dave walk into the room and they exchange formalities

Breeze: Let’s get started then

Kristin: Sure

The camera starts recording James Breeze live

Kristin: Hello, James Breeze

Breeze: Hello

Kristin: Did you watch Jareth before?

Breeze: Of course

Kristin: What did you think of what he was saying

Breeze: A lot actually. First of all Jareth, you do not know me and you do not know Fudge, so you keep your comments about our situation to yourself. Time will tell who will win our war not you. As for you thinking I will not be focused for Redemption, you are wrong. Fudge and Sett have shown me I am better than even I thought, and now you do not stand a chance. Sett did not give me a beating regardless of what you heard and he will get what’s coming to him. You’re confidence in him over me does upset me Jareth but you will pay for your comments. I will be focused, this match means a whole lot to me, and I will win. I will win and that is that.

Kristin: So you are confident then?

Breeze: I am

Kristin: You will not be fully focused though, right?

Breeze: Wrong, I will be and I will be looking at Jareth and picturing Fudge and that makes me a whole lot more dangerous regardless of what Jareth thinks. Days and ticking Jareth and you will Feel My Hate! And you will not be able to withstand it no matter how much you tell yourself you will. You think my weakness lies within, wrong. My strength lies within that unnamed one

Dave stops the recording

Kristin: Thankyou

Breeze: Anytime

Kristin and Dave say their goodbyes and leave

Breeze decides to go get a can from the vending machine

He steps outside his locker room and sees Sett. Sett is on his cell phone but quickly says his goodbyes when he sees Breeze. Breeze walks the other way

Sett: Wait there

Breeze: What do you want?

Sett: Just to talk

Breeze looks like he is about to refuse but then accepts

Breeze: Okay

Sett: So what’s up?

Breeze: Not much

Sett: Oh, okay

Breeze: So everyone's talking about how you kicked my ass, how did they know, we were alone, what did you say to anyone and you didn't kick my ass you, knew I was concuss

Sett: Rumors must have gotten started.  I didn't say anything.

Breeze: You must have. We were alone

Are you sure you never said anything?

Breeze: Stop lying. I know it was you

Sett: I may have mentioned something.  I do believe I told someone that you fainted.  Things have must have grown from there.

Breeze: I thought I could trust you

Sett: I thought I could trust who I told.

Breeze: You hear what Jareth said?

Sett: No, not yet.  What did he say?

Breeze: I'm sure if you looked around the studios you could find the recording of it, after all the HWA record all their promos

Sett: I've been busy with other fed issues, I was planning on watching promos later.

Breeze: He said that people have been talking about nothing else backstage but about you kicking my ass, that and my shall we say situation with Fudge.

Sett: Yeah.  Okay.  I'm sorry, I don't know how this came to be.

Breeze: You're sorrys aren't worth anything to me

Sett: Listen...I'm sorry.  Take that for however much worth you want to, I don't care.

Breeze: You don't care, good. If you did care I would be offended. How's Heather doing by the way, is she spilling her guts out. Or is she just resting, in peace. Man I'm so happy I may just scream bloody murder. Oh that's right the woman you loved is dead isn't she?

Breeze laughs out loud

Sett: Yeah, she sure is.  Along with my younger brother, and as far as my parents are concerned, I am too.  Trying to shove that in my face doesn't affect me, Breeze.  I'm no stranger to death.

Breeze: You may be meeting him soon

Sett: By who's account?

Breeze: You think you can enhance your reputation by saying you kicked my ass, well you can, once you have. Why don't you try it now?

Breeze shoves Sett

Sett: Don't touch me Breeze, I'm not here to fight.

Breeze pushes Sett again

Sett: Dammit Breeze!

Breeze tries to punch Sett but Sett moves out of the way, the punch only a cm or so away from Sett's nose

Sett shakes his head.

Sett: Nice try.  But I told you not to touch me.

Breeze shoulders Sett into the wall

Breeze: Or what?

Sett shoves off the wall for extra push and shoulders Breeze back into the opposite wall.

Sett: Or I just might fight back.

Breeze pushes Sett again: I think I'd like that

Sett, fed up, pushes Breeze back: You'll learn not to.

Breeze: And you're going to teach me?

Sett smiles.

Sett: Someone has to.

Breeze: I'm always eager to learn, why don't you show me?

Sett: Will do.

Sett tackles Breeze into the wall, then shoves him to the ground

Breeze solidly kicks Setts ankle, Sett stumbles and crashes over Breeze's legs

Sett pulls himself back to his feet and slugs Breeze across the face.

Sett spills Breeze blood

Breeze rams his foot into the gut of Sett

Sett gives Breeze a swift kick to the gut of his own.

Breeze puts his hand over his eyes and sways about

Sett steps back.

Breeze: What you doing?

Sett: Proving a point.

Breeze: What point is that?

Sett: You're too weak to fight now.

Breeze: I'm not!

Sett: You are.

Breeze: Fight me, I'll prove I'm not

Sett: Then come on.

Breeze hits a solid right hook into the face of Sett

Sett moves to dodge, lessening the impact and instantly retaliates with a right jab to the stomach and a hard left uppercut.

Breeze takes the shots hard and falls into Sett, Sett crashes down to the floor and Breeze manages to stay up

Sett rolls backwards upon impact with the floor and pops back to his feet.

Sett: Not bad.

Breeze: Maybe

Breeze then tries to hit his superkick in the narrow hallway. Sett twists to his side and Breeze kicks the wall, impacting a hole in it. Breeze struggles to take his foot out of the way, while Sett reaches into his boot and pulls out a silver dagger with a skull at the base of the hilt.  He brings it up to Breeze's neck.

Sett: And thus, you die, I win.

Breeze stares at Sett

Breeze: I would gladly die

Breeze: I will be waiting for you beyond the gates of hell

Sett's eyes widen and he starts to push the dagger's blade into Breeze's neck, but stops.  He pulls the dagger away, spins it and slips it back in it's holding sheath at his boot.

Sett: That day won't come yet, Breeze.  Just let that be a lesson.  I've been through more than your simple bar fight every now and then.  Maybe you should do a little background check on who you're dealing with before you pick your fights.

Breeze: Maybe you should as well, with that Breeze grabs Sett and rams his knee fully into Sett's groin

Sett's eyes light up and he lets out a loud gasp. Time seems to slow to a crawl as Sett backs against the wall, blinking a few times. Finally, he kicks Breeze in the side, and as he brings his leg down, he brings his dagger out again and slices it across Breeze's face, making a precision cut under his right eye. Breeze jumps back from the light whiplike stroke holding under his eye. He whipes his face then wipes the blood over Sett's face. He then hit the lightening strike on Sett, making a huge hole in the corridor wall. As he gets slammed into the wall, Sett throws a knee up into the face of Breeze. Sett lies into the wall with Breeze on top of him, Sett lifts Breeze's head, Breeze eyes are still shut, Sett's white T-Shirt is filled with blood. Sett slowly, painstakingly lifts Breeze off of him, and then hoists him up over his shoulder and carries him to his office.  Once there, he sets Breeze into a chair and uses his phone.

Sett: Yeah...I'm gonna need you again, I think....alright, thanks...yes, he's right here...unconscious again....thanks again...bye.

Sett hangs up the phone, looks down at the blood on his shirt, feels the blood on his face, then looks down at Breeze.

Sett: I suppose that makes us...blood brothers.

Sett smirks and walks off.

Breeze eyes suddenly open, his right eye red with bloodshot and then he slowly rises to his feet, an evil grin on his face.

He slowly pulls out a thick metal cosh from the bottom of his pants, after being strapped round his leg. He then slowly walks behind Sett and smartly raps him on it, Sett's convulses and then fall backwards into Breeze's arms. Breeze then picks Sett up a for backdrop then falls and spins Sett round powerbombing him through his own expensive oak desk.

Breeze walks back to his locker room, on his way meeting a few people

Sett wakes up in a makeshift doctor's room.  He sees paramedics all around him, but the scenery seems to be that of the arena's rooms.

Sett: What happened?

Paramedic: We don't know, if you tell us who did this too you, we can get the police to arrest them, you could have them locked up at least until Monday

Sett considers this.

Sett:  ....I don't know who did it to me.  And it doesn't matter.  I'm a wrestler...this shit happens all the time.

Paramedic: I've seen many assaults before from wrestlers, this one though is serious, he tried to really hurt you

Sett can't help but smile.

Sett: Well...he didn't.

Sett gets up and takes a look around the room.

Sett: What, couldn't get me to a real hospital room?

Paramedic: We had to get air to you quickly, the journey would have been to long and bumpy, your throat clamped tight, only small amounts of air could get in at a time, this person may not know it but he could have killed you or gave you brain damage, there could have been loads of side effects. Lucky James Breeze came and told us when he did.

He told us that he went to your office to tell you how much he admired and respected you but found you like that

Paramedic: I think you owe him a great deal

Sett:  I suppose I do...I suppose I do.  So am I okay to go now?

Paramedic: Yeah sure, James Breeze told me to tell you to look where the dagger lies, whatever that means

Sett: Alright, thanks for your help.  I need to go and find Breeze right now, to...thank him.

Sett walks out.  As he does so, he checks his boot sheath.

On the edge of the blade is a small piece of paper
On the paper it says

Sett you've made it, that time was near
to your death, yet you are still here
if you want Breeze, if you want more
then go to the place you suspected before

Sett reads the paper over again, and narrows his eyes.

Sett: Cute.  Very...fucking...cute.

Sett crumples up the paper and throws it in a nearby trash and stalks off, presumably in the direction of 'the place he suspected before'

Sett walks up to the doors of the training ring.  Sett starts to use the knob, but anger overtakes him and he swiftly kicks the doors open, revealing...

The training ring, all the lights are on but one in the very centre of the ring where Breeze is stood waiting, still holding his eye and blood dripping onto the canvas

Sett looks up at Breeze intently.

Breeze answering stare is as cold and hard as rock

Sett smiles, not a cocky smile, but a malicious, twisted smile.  His eyes narrow as he cracks his neck and begins his walk to the ring.

Breeze kneels on one knee and rips his t-shirt off revealing his huge upper body

Sett also does to his also revealing muscle and Breeze's blood over his chest and torso

Sett slides under the bottom rope, he can't see the rope because everything but Breeze is dark, as he slides in he feels a sharp pain on his hands and one on his leg. He touches the rope to discover its barbed wire and look into the middle of the ring. There are drawing pins scattered, not many of them but their there

Sett smiles.

Sett: So..what?  Is this it?  Is this where it ends?

Breeze doesn't answer but just stares into Sett's eyes

Sett returns the stare.

Sett: You're right.  I talk too much.  Let's do this, James.

Breeze: Whatever you say Ryan

Sett cracks his knuckles and extends a arm out at Breeze, then beckons him with his fingers.

Breeze extends his hand

Breeze: A handshake first

Sett hesitates, highly untrusting of Breeze.  After a long moment, Sett reaches down and accepts Breeze's handshake. Sett shakes Breeze hand and then looks at it, seeing Breeze's wet blood over his hand

Breeze: You have had enough of my blood, I want some of yours

Sett nods.

Sett: You already have it.  That's the hand I scratched on the wire.  I guess now we truly are blood brothers.

Breeze: You're chest is covered with my blood, I want to bathe in yours

Sett: Then you're going to have to take it from me.

Breeze: If that's what it takes

Sett: I'm not about to just give it away. I had to take yours from you; you now have to take mine from me.  It's a deal...signed in blood.

Breeze: The greatest ink is blood

Sett: I couldn't agree more.

Breeze walks slowly towards Sett

Sett walks toward Breeze at much the same pace.

Breeze: Are you ready?

Sett: Born that way.

Breeze: Then Feel My Hate

Sett: As soon as you take The Journey.

Breeze dashes the last few feet at Sett

Sett spins to his side, placing him behind Breeze.  He shoves Breeze forward into the ropes.

Breeze extends his hands to stop himself and turns around

Sett assumes a martial arts fighting stance.

Sett: Come on, Breeze.  There's more to Sett than you know.

Breeze falls back to a Tai Chi stance and then hits an inverted kick to the left side of Sett, Sett stumble backwards then uses good balance to stop from falling into the barbed wire. Sett fakes a horizontal left chop at Breeze then spins into a spinning back kick to Breeze's face. Breeze's right eye looks red from the slice underneath it caused by the silver dagger of Sett. Breeze runs at Sett connecting with a high knee Sett falls. He rolls sideways into one of the pins.  Sett screams out in pain as he stands up and pulls the pin out of his back. Sett stares straight at Breeze as he dashes him, trying to impale the pin into Breeze. Breeze sees this and quickly hits his super-kick knocking Sett onto multiple pins. Sett doesn't scream out this time, seeming to ignore the pain that must be going through him. Sett leaps back to his feet and his eyes seemingly glow with rage.  He pulls a pin out of his back and throws it at Breeze. Breeze flicks it aside with his hand

Breeze: Do you hate me yet?

Sett: Close.

Sett pulls another pin out and tosses it intently at Breeze. The pin flashes through the air hitting Breeze's chest. Breeze closes his eyes and wincing then pulls it out. He runs at Sett with a clothesline. Sett grabs Breeze's outstretched arm and using it as leverage, flings Breeze into the barbed wire, still holding onto his arm.

Breeze shouts with pain as his back hits the thorns of steel

Sett backs a few steps and launches a sidekick toward Breeze.

Breeze drops to his knees from the unrelentless assault from Sett

Sett: Give Up Yet?

Breeze: Never (Breeze screams in defiance)

Sett: Then I guess I'll have to MAKE you give up!

Sett picks up Breeze, and after a few knees into his gut, sets him up and nails The Journey on him.                               Breeze’s back hits the ring of nails and crashes through the ring canvas to break through surface of the ring. Breeze lets out a scream on unspeakable agony

Sett: Now do you give up?!

Breeze tries to speak but can't. Instead he crawls up to Sett and uses Sett to stand up, he looks into the eyes of Sett and spits on Sett's face. Sett's eyes narrow as he kicks Breeze back to the mat.

Sett: C'mon, Breeze!  COME ON!!  WHERE'S THAT HATE?!

Breeze jumps up with a sudden surge of energy obviously surprising Sett. He hits the Lightening Strike to Sett onto the barbed wire, snapping the top one. Sett looks to fall to the outside but Breeze grabs him headbutts him and then throws him against the other ropes. Sett hits it hard and then stumbles into the Game Over by Breeze, Sett tried to reverse it but Breeze knocks him on his head while Sett is between his legs. Breeze hits a massive Game Over and Sett crumples to the mat. Breeze tries to stand but then falls as well. Sett starts to push himself up.  His arms buckle and he falls.  Multiple pins are lodged in him and he is bleeding profusely. The only thing he can do is look over at Breeze.

Breeze slowly, very slowly moves onto his knees, he crawls over to Sett

Breeze: I’ve took the journey and survived, Now do you give up?

Sett grins his trademark cocky grin.

Sett: Not until you do first.

Breeze: Damn you Sett

Breeze pushes himself up and then rolls to the outside and retrieves a chair from under the ring. He enters the ring and hits the arm and chest and head of Sett, once...twice...three times...four...five...six...seven

Sett, still too exhausted to move, takes each and every one.

Breeze continues his assault on Sett

Sett keeps taking each chair shot.

Breeze place the chair down and picks Sett up, he then proceeds to hit the Game Over on Sett, the sound of Sett's head of the chair would be enough to knock anyone sick. Sett just falls down his eyes blinking and struggling to breath. But still he looks over at Breeze smiling. This only infuriates Breeze. Breeze grabs Sett and picks him up. Breeze grins at Sett but then Sett’s arm flashes out onto Breeze’s throat. Breeze struggles to move but can’t as Sett executes a tremendous South Texas Deathride. Breeze goes down hard as Sett goes outside and grabs a table, Breeze stays down as Sett sets up the table. Sett then proceeds to retrieve a ladder from the other side of the room. He sets it up just in time before Breeze gets to his feet. Breeze and Sett stare at each other then start to brawl swapping punch for punch. Finally Sett catches Breeze just under his eye, Breeze stumbles back into the table. Sett runs at Breeze and hits a running big boot. Breeze topples backwards onto the wooden table. Sett slowly climbs to the top rope nearest the table, he looks for a moment like he’s going to fall but the Texan regains his balance and flies from the turnbuckle elbow outstretched to land straight into Breeze’s chest, breaking the table. Sett and Breeze both lie on the mat too exhausted to move. Sett crawls over to Breeze, the left eye of Breeze opens to stare at him.

Sett: Do you give up?

Breeze cannot speak but simply moves his head from side to side

Sett sighs

Sett: You will, you will

Sett picks up Breeze and lets go of him, Breeze drops to his knees, Sett grabs the hair of Breeze, looking red with blood in the dim shade and starts pummeling him. Breeze takes each punch just staring at Sett. Sett continues until Breeze’s elbow rams into his stomach. Breeze capitalizes on this with a head butt followed by a super kick. Sett falls down. Breeze climbs the ladder to the very top. From 15 foot in the air he jumps off trying to execute the Angel Swan Dive Head Butt. He hits it, and Sett bounces up from the mat from the impact. After a long time Breeze manages to get to his feet. He drops to his knees and picks up Sett’s head from the mat

Breeze: Do you give up?

Sett’s face turns to a sneer and he slowly moves his head from side to side

Breeze rolls to the outside and searches underneath the ring. He finds his sledgehammer. He rolls back into the ring, everything seeming someone like some bad dream with the lack of light and just the bits of wood and metal spread in the ring and along with it Sett’s body. Maybe things could have been different but this was an honour, to fight Sett like this was an honour and Breeze was never backing out from this. Breeze slid into the ring with the sledgehammer. As he did this Sett picks up the chair. He ran and smashes it clean over Breeze’s head. Sett walks over to the snapped piece of barbed wire from the left top rope. He wraps it around the chair. Breeze staggers up only to receive a chair shot to the head. Once… twice… three times… four. Breeze falls back into the barbed wire and with the last of his energy uses the hammer to hit the head of Sett. Breeze’s eyes shut as he falls into Sett who is already making the journey to the mat. Breeze falls on top of Sett and then rolls over to the mat. That same blackness and blankness hitting him.

FADE TO BLACK

It was 30 minutes when they were both found, and they were found by none other than Fudge. Fudge dropped his bag as soon as he entered the gym and then dimmed up the lights to normal. He was horrified to see what he saw. A sudden fear gripping his stomach as he saw the two men in the ring. He recognized them both straight away, one a former tag partner, a hateful enemy and the other the president of the HWA. They were both covered with blood, a lot of blood Fudge, thought. Fudge phoned for an ambulance and then slid into the ring. Piece of dented metal pins and spots of dark red blood and shards of wood were sprawled over the ring. Fudge checked each wrestlers pulse, once over to Breeze, Breeze’s eye opened for a second, it was filled with absolute horror, then he passed out again. This was real carnage, even the Suicidal Chyld was impressed with the amount of damage each had sustained.

Fudge muttered to himself

Fudge: Why wasn’t I invited?

But no-one could answer

The ambulance arrived 10 minutes later and once the men were taken away to the hospital the area was cleaned up.

Both Sett and Breeze had given each other all they had. Both liked the taste of each one’s blood and they liked it. They were indeed blood brothers and that only infused their passion to destroy the other, both were sure they would meet again, but when and where. This wasn’t the end

FADE TO BLACK
