XWF
Arena
2.56pm Monday 1st September
The wind blew through the car window before the limousine sped down into the
car park of the great XWF arena. This day was not going well and everyone
seemed to be against him, even the limousine driver had seemed to be turning
corners sharper than usual just to get a knock into James Breeze. Even his
staff at the mansion were giving him dirty looks, they watched too much
television he thought to himself. He stepped out of the limousine and walked
through the halls of XWF. Everyone had scowled at him for what he had done to
their 'hero'. Breeze finally got his locker room beyond prying and
dissaproving glares and stairs of these interfering people
Breeze sat down on the couch and sighed. He never cared which way people
thought he would side with, face or heel. A good guy or bad guy, a cop or a
robber, a cowboy or an indian.
It had not mattered to him, neutrality was what he liked, what he preferred,
what he wanted. He did what was asked of him, no more, no less. It wasn't a
particularly special job, not one of a great magnitude he would simply act as
a decoy for his tag team partner 187. Breeze expected this to be a job, and
nothing more, what he expected and what he got was not the same...
This Zero had been a fan favourite, beyond even Breeze's wildest expectations
of the heap that lay before him on TNT. Breeze did not like being scowelled at
or given dirty looks. He wished people would just accept the fact that in this
game things which you may not have liked had to be done. Emotions did not come
into it, maybe they did he thought. Only anger and hate and maybe pain, not
sympathy or understanding. What did they expect of him....? What did they
expect?
Breeze continued to think about the situation, people angered him but people
being angered at him was something he did not care for, something he really
did not care for. He decided to push it away from his mind and thoughts and to
get a drink. He opened his mini fridge to see nothing of any energy drinks
just emptiness. He walked out of his locker room and down the halls of the XWF,
there were security all around the place. Hawk had warned him before that they
were there to ensure either 187 or Zero did not find a way to get to each
other.
Breeze never liked security guards, they mostly had a puffed up over developed
opinion of themselves. Breeze continued to walk through the dull, bland
corridors. He turned the corner and froze, not in fear. Fear was not something
that gripped Breeze often and in this case it would have been too strong a
word. Surprise was probably the best description of what Breeze was feeling.
Standing there at the opposite end of the corridor stood Zero.......
Zero was not happy, he could tell that much from the eyes glaring at him. Zero
was someone to be reckoned with. Breeze knew that, he was not stupid after
all. He continued to walk down the hall not slowing down his pace, Zero
continued to walk down the hall also, and with each second they grew nearer to
each other. Behind Zero at the corner of the hall a huge security guard stood.
Breeze was sure there was one behind him too. So two men watched over as these
two wrestlers came closer and closer into what could have been a brawl of
great magnitude.
Breeze and Zero stopped only 3 feet apart, each glaring straight into the
others' eyes, neither showing any sign of fear or excitement. Both it seemed
were not the sort to tuck tail and run.
Zero:
Hello
There was a hint of anger in Zero's voice and a hint of steel. Breeze was
impressed by his resistance to lash out at Breeze, this made him take the form
of a slight grin to add to his features.
Breeze:
Where are you off to?
Trying to make it sound as casual as possible
Zero:
Oh nowhere important
Breeze: Good
Zero: My
heads hurting
Breeze: I bet
it is
Zero: Have
you ever had your head split open
Breeze: Yes
Zero: And
you're face disfigured?
Breeze: No
Zero: Then
you do not know my anger, or my rage?
Breeze: Perhaps
not
Zero: Yeah
and perhaps I don't know what it's like to sit on the sidelines and flick a
simple light switch.
Breeze grinned even more: You should try it sometimes, all I had to do was
move my finger and you were to fall, it mustn't be a good feeling. Knowing
that with just that simple touch I had the power, I had your fate, your
outcome and I was the one able to choose
Zero looked quite bored at Breeze's little speech : Ok I thought you were an
athlete not a poet.
Breeze:
I can be both, intelligence is something I do not lack although I fear you do
Zero couldn't help, but chuckle : Ok once again I thought you were an athlete
not someone who could come up with a fifth grade insult.
Breeze:
Whatever Chuckles okay, why is it that now in
your eyes I see steel and a thirst for revenge? I merely assisted my partner
as you would have done. You look upon me as an enemy now Zero, for turning off
a light-switch. You may be acting civilized but I know it is taking every
ounce of your will to hold you back from hitting me and your voice clouds your
true emotions, but even your best efforts cannot conceal the rage in your
voice and the fact that right now your fists are clenched so tightly that your
knuckles have gone white. In your eyes is where your true feelings lie and in
them now all there is, is hate?
Zero: Tell me
why is it that I am the one having a conversation with you and your the one
that has this fascination with hate, revenge, steel, and other crap that
proves that your parents wouldn't let you go outside as a child.
Breeze: You
deny the truth Zero and cloud it over with clever witty words and
prejudgements and funny phrases but if anyone was sheltered it was you, as you
are now. Hiding your feelings behind these empty words and with it your face,
behind that mask I see before me
Zero: Sorry
pal I'm not hiding, I'm just being friendly. Truth be told yeah I'm a bit
pissed off that you and your numerical partner attacked me and did quite a
number on my face. Yet I know something and that is all things heal including
my face and since you being the poet I know you are; here is a little saying
you should know of, "don't get mad, get even."
Breeze: Revenge
is a sweet dish, I am unsurprised you like it. You think to get even with 187?
Zero: Of
course, sooner or later of course I'll do it when your least expecting it or
will I do it when you are expecting it?"
Breeze: I
don't think even you know that answer, you plan to take revenge on me as well
as 187?
Zero let off a chuckle, Zero: Why
should I you are just the little man who flicked the light switch.
Breeze: Okay,
I have to say 187 will be more than you can handle as it is, adding me as an
enemy as well would be suicidal. Calling me a 'little' man has done that for
you Zero, so I shall try and do more to arouse your anger towards me. Maybe
then you'll have the brass balls to do something about me, about the man who
flicked the lights, but also about the man that tattered your face and gashed
open your skull
Zero rolled his eyes as he kept his cool,
Zero: Yes we've already covered this I'm
angry and I want revenge because I was attacked by you and 187 which resulted
in my face being disfigured a bit, can we please get more original.
Breeze:
Alright, I shall do as you ask, this TNT I will be as original as I can be,
watch your back Zero, you never know when the next man is coming
Zero: And nor
do I care when he is coming.
Breeze: Then
you are a fool!
Zero: And I
thought I was supposed to be angry...
Breeze: You
are angry Zero, even you cannot deny that, you already admitted you were. If
you think you're angry at me now then rage will surpass you when I try to
upset you
Zero: And
once again I will in the end be angry, for someone that you think has a lack
of intelligence I'm pretty good and understanding this anger concept
especially when it's repeated to me like a broken record.
Breeze:
You're the only thing that is going to be broken around here, and repitition
will come into affect because it won't be the first time it has happened will
it?
Zero: Well
actually me being the more original of us two obviously has come up with a
much better idea and that would be me whipping both of your asses.
Breeze laughed:
That was very funny
Zero: Well
thank you.
Breeze: I'll
feel I should repay you
Zero: Really,
how much?
Breeze: A
lot, that after all was a very funny joke
Zero: I know
it would had been much more funnier if it was meant to be a joke.
Breeze: You
actually believe you can defeat myself and 187?
Zero: Of
course as long as it's on fair ground and man to man not two losers against a
winner
Breeze: 187
will beat you soon and after he is done I may decide to beat you just for the
fun of it and to crush that ego of yours
Zero: For
someone so intelligent you are already wrong, so far I have a positive record
against 187 so him beating me is looking out of the question.
Breeze: Records
are nothing as is the past, what counts is the here and now and the future,
yours is looking worse by the minute
Breeze: Okay,
you soon will have Zero. You may be clever and cunning but you are no match
for 187 or for me and soon enough you will out exactly why this conversation
was a mistake for you
Breeze turned around and put money into the
vending machine, he retrieved the energy drink from the bottom
Zero: Whatever...
Breeze laughed: What does that mean? Did
you get that on a t-shirt or something because all it means to me is you
saying, okay your right, I am going to get my ass kicked off you and 187
Zero: No not at all it's just that I've
heard everything you've said and after two times it tends to get boring and I
don't need to waste my breath by answering to something I have already
answered to.
Breeze: Okay then I bid you farewall my
disfigured friend and I'll see you soon
Zero: And I'll be waiting for you.
Breeze turned his back on Zero and laughed as he walked
around the corridor, he did not know what Zero did then but he had learned a
lot from the quick conversation they shared. 187 had a vendetta against this
man. Breeze found he could be irritating when he wanted to be but it was not
his business to know why, it was however now his business to carry out what he
had promised Zero and so further planning had to be put into account with 187
about what they should do next to Zero. A man who's face was covered by a mask
to protect his disfigured features, a man who would stand and fight 187 and
would quite possibly win. A man who showed no fear and no regret, a man Breeze
thought of as a worthy opponent but alas a man that was the next target and
emotions didn't come onto it, well not kind ones anyway as I've already
explained. Zero would try to defend himself but Breeze combined with 187 could
take on and conquer anybody and everybody and after all Zero was only man, he
thought to himself
Breeze muttering: Only a man
